The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association is a nonprofit, member-driven organization established in 1987 to advance ground source heat pump technology on local, state, national and international levels. The mission of the association and its membership—nearly 2,500 members from more than 20 countries—is to promote the use of ground source heat pump technology worldwide through education and communication.

Headquartered on the campus of Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., IGSHPA pioneered GSHP training to ensure quality installations and serves as the sole source for standards publications and guidebooks. IGSHPA utilizes state-of-the-art facilities for conducting GSHP system installation training and geothermal research. With access to the most current advancements in the geothermal industry, IGSHPA is the ideal bridge between the latest technology and the people who benefit from these developments.

While ground source heat pump technology has a long, documented history, James Bose is regarded as the creator of the systems’ modern application. Today, Bose serves as executive director of the association.

2008 Technical Conference & Expo

The International Ground Source Heat Pump Association is bringing the ground source heat pump industry’s premier technical conference and expo to Music City. Join us Oct. 1-2 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., as we take a look at how the industry has grown and what the future holds.

To keep pace with the growing geothermal industry, IGSHPA hosts the largest technical conference in the United States dedicated solely to geothermal heating and cooling technology. Through technical demonstrations and presentations by respected industry leaders, attendees will have an opportunity to network and earn about the latest research and developments.

IGSHPA is proud to announce the first-ever Exhibitors’ Showcase, an opportunity for the public to enter the exhibit hall and learn what GSHP technology has to offer. The showcase will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
